RiskIQ announced today that it has appointed a new chief marketing officer. The company deals with cybersecurity and helps organizations discover, understand and mitigate known, unknown and malicious exposures across the Web, mobile and social digital channels. Due to the importance of this field, RiskIQ needed to make sure it hired someone with relevant experience in both the cybersecurity and marketing industries.
After much deliberation, RiskIQ decided to add Scott Gordon to its team as the new CMO. In this role, Gordon will be responsible for accelerating the company’s global go-to-market strategy, branding and sales enablement.
Based on his past experiences, Gordon is more than qualified for the position. He brings more than 20 years of industry experience and accomplishments in global tech marketing to the role, which is exactly what the company was looking for. Over the years, Gordon has designed successful strategies, achieved results and built organizations for many well-known cybersecurity brands.
More specifically, Gordon recently worked as the CMO for ForeScout Technologies, where he developed strong positioning, visibility and an aggressive go-to-market strategy that helped propel the company as leader in network access control and security orchestration. This experience directly qualifies him for what he will be doing at RiskIQ. He has also held executive and management roles at AccelOps, Protego, Axent and McAfee.
