Whether an agency relies on analytics, dashboards, or something else to gain insights into viewership and success rates, the core technology being used is essential to enabling a successful data-driven campaign.
When an agency’s entire setup relies heavily on technology, though, it’s important for the company to make sure all employees have a solid handle on it. That’s why when Merkle, a technology-enabled, data-driven performance marketing agency, made the decision to bring on a new team member, it looked for someone with technology in their background.
Eventually, Merkle decided to bring Ankur Jain on board to lead its cloud-based marketing solutions development. Jain is now Merkle’s vice president of analytic platforms, where he will work to drive cloud performance innovation for Merkle on a global scale and build on the agency’s robust public and private cloud marketing solutions. He will also work to improve Merkle’s expertise in leveraging cloud computing across the marketing tech stack.
Jain is more than qualified for the position, based on his past experiences. He is joining the team from Tectonic, where he was vice president and chief data officer. In those roles, he led big data strategy, services and delivery. Before his time at Tectonic, Jain worked for Archipelago as managing partner and chief technology officer. There, he helped facilitate the company’s acquisition by Tectonic. Finally, Jain also has experience will Dell and America Online, where he held leadership roles in solution architecture and data strategy.
His resume speaks volumes about how qualified he is for the position at Merkle. The vice president of analytic platforms needs to have an extensive background in technology to be beneficial to the company, and Jain certainly meets that requirement.
