MercuryGate Appoints New CMO to Aid Growth Efforts

In recent months, MercuryGate International, Inc. has been expanding its top executive ranks. The company is a global transportation management solution provider. Its solutions are deployed on the cloud, and its highly scalable platform supports all modes of transportation (Parcel, LTL, Truckload, Air, Ocean, Rail, Intermodal).

This level of support allows companies to centrally manage transportation across divisions and business units with control tower visibility. More specifically, MercuryGate’s solutions enable shippers, carriers, brokers, freight forwarders and third party logistics providers to procure, plan, optimize, execute and settle freight movements.

Clearly, MercuryGate has a lot to offer its customers. That’s why it’s revamping its executive ranks. The company is growing and needs more visibility, and the only effective way to accomplish that goal is by hiring a new chief marketing officer (CMO).

To fill this need, MercuryGate has hired Karen Sage as its new CMO. In this role, she will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s global marketing, communications, sales enablement and go-to-market efforts in order to aid the company’s growth and expansion.

These are important areas for a growing company, but Sage is more than qualified for the job. She has more than 20 years of experience in business-to-business marketing and communications. Specifically, she knows all about launching disruptive new categories, accelerating revenue growth, building leadership brands and establishing marketing organizations that scale globally.

Over the years, Sage has worked for several companies, improving each one’s marketing team immensely. Most recently, she worked for spend management solution provider SciQuest but, before that, she worked at CA Technologies as VP of marketing. There, she led rapid growth initiatives that helped transform the company. Sage also gained experience in helping companies grow while holding multiple leadership roles during her 15 years at Cisco. That alone makes her a good fit for MercuryGate since it is looking to grow as a company in the coming months.

Sage is excited about joining the team at MercuryGate and already has a plan in mind on how to help the company reach its growth goals, saying, “MercuryGate has gained a loyal and enthusiastic customer base across transportation industries.
