Vendavo, a margin and profit organization solutions provider, announced this week that it has appointed a new chief marketing officer (CMO). Vendavo uses big data to generate actionable insights that enable businesses to sell more profitably. The company provides solutions to help this end and aid global customers in making better data-driven solutions for pricing and sales effectiveness. These solutions are created by workers with a deep knowledge of the industry, making it clear that Vendavo only hires experts in their respective fields. As a result, Vendavo had to be very selective when choosing a CMO, because that person will help brand the company.
Ultimately, Vendavo chose C. Edward Brice, a strategic go-to-market and branding veteran. In his new role as CMO, Brice will lead the company’s global marketing efforts in establishing margin and price optimization as the pricing industry gold standard.
Brice is a good fit for the job, given that he was most recently the senior vice president of worldwide marketing at Lumension Security. There, he worked to establish the company’s brand in the IT security industry, helping to make a global name for the company. This is perfectly in line with what he will be doing at Vendavo. Additionally, Brice served as VP of global marketing at SAP, where he drove the global marketing demand generation programs across Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific. Again, this is exactly the sort of qualification Vendavo was looking for when sorting through potential candidates.
More broadly, Brice has also held senior positions managing all aspects of marketing, including solution marketing, communications, demand generation, branding, partner marketing, digital and social marketing throughout his 20 years of experience.
