Until very recently, the core business of RealBiz Media Group was providing digital media and technology for the real estate industry with propriety video processing that simplified the way agents and agencies created home video tours.
The new food operations division was recently added along with new CEO Anshu Bhatnagar, who took over effectively January 2, 2017. He was hired based on his experience in the food industry as the company was making major investments into the global Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sectors.
The addition of marketing veteran Nandini Sethuraman as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) also brings someone with extensive experience in international consumer goods marketing for some of the leading brands in the world.
In more than two decades, Sethuraman has worked for the likes of Walmart India, IKEA, Pepsico Canada, Hershey Foods, S.C. Johnson Wax, Nabisco and other global brands in different marketing capacities, including CMO, head of marketing as well as marketing, product and senior brand manager.
In addressing her experience, the CEO said, "Her experience covers every stage of growth, from new brand development to maintaining shelf space for mature brands, all elements of any long-term business plan in the consumer goods space. We are excited that she shares our vision for building a large, profitable business in the rapidly growing world of international foods." He added, "Attracting someone of Nandini Sethuraman's caliber at this early stage of our development is both humbling and encouraging."
According to the company, in her new capacity Sethuraman will start forming a strategic blueprint for the multiple growth initiatives that have been implemented.
"I have marketed on multiple continents with some of the world's largest brands, but my recent work in private brand development at Daymon reminded me of how exciting and satisfying launching and growing new brands can be. With this new food enterprise at RealBiz, I have the opportunity to apply my more than 25 years of experience to product lines early in their growth cycles. These markets represent a tremendous opportunity and I am excited to be a part of the company at this early stage," said Nandini Sethuraman.
The company is focusing on international distribution of fruits, nuts, honey and meats as a global demand for food is anticipated to grow. A contract the company signed valued at more than $78 million to supply beef to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which includes the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait was a great start for the company in a multi-billion-dollar industry segment.
